In 2022, China’s cabbage production reached 35.6 million tons, maintaining its dominance in the market. Historically, production trends have been shaped by population growth, increasing demand for cabbage as a staple vegetable, and advancements in agricultural technology. While China remains the primary source, other countries, such as India, Russia, and the United States, also contribute significantly. Cabbage is valued for its versatility, long shelf life, and nutritional benefits, making it an essential crop worldwide.
