The average age of agricultural managers in Japan is increasing, and especially among individual farms, there is a tendency for many of them to be over 60 years old. Looking at the regions, the aging of the population is more pronounced in areas with a high concentration of agricultural workers, and the lack of young successors is becoming more serious. From the perspective of the sustainability and innovativeness of agricultural management, encouraging young people to enter the industry and supporting management succession are urgent issues.
