The production volume and planted area of evergreen fruit trees in Japanese agriculture shows different characteristics in each prefecture. For example, in Okinawa Prefecture, which has a mild climate, pineapple and seekwasa production is thriving and the planted area tends to be large. On the other hand, in cooler regions such as Aomori and Yamagata prefectures, production of apples and pears is the mainstay, and their production is characterized by high production. As for changes to date, due to climate change and advances in agricultural technology, planting area and production are increasing in some areas, while in other areas they may be on a declining trend.
