Import and export of tropical fruits

World agriculture

Tropical fruits are of global importance and are actively imported and exported. The main exporting countries are Ecuador, Colombia, the Philippines and Brazil, with bananas, pineapples and mangoes being the main export items. These countries enjoy a tropical climate and provide high quality fruit. On the other hand, importing countries include the United States, Japan, and European countries, and demand remains stable throughout the year. Although climatic and weather variations can affect production volume and quality, demand for tropical fruits in international trade remains high.
