Abstract
When listing trends and characteristics of corn exports, it stands out that the United States is the largest exporter. According to data for 2021, U.S. corn exports reached 70.6 Mt. This figure shows that the United States is a globally important corn producer and export center. America’s dominance is supported by advanced agricultural technology and large-scale agricultural production systems. Meanwhile, other countries are also making efforts to strengthen their own agricultural production and become more competitive in corn exports. These include South American countries such as Brazil and Argentina, as well as Ukraine and China. Changes in consumption and demand in different regions also have an impact, affecting export and import patterns. Factors such as climate change and changes in trade policies may continue to affect corn imports and exports in the future.
Corn export volume (worldwide)
Between 1961 and 2021, the volume of world corn exports increased significantly. During this period, the role of the United States was particularly notable, and its exports expanded rapidly. The United States is the world’s largest producer of corn, and its export volume has increased significantly due to the development of its agricultural technology and increased production. At its peak, the United States’ export volume was 100%, making it the center of world corn exports. Meanwhile, other countries are also improving their agricultural technology and productivity to increase their competitiveness in corn exports. This has led to the diversification of the world’s corn market, with multiple countries exporting and importing. In addition, fluctuations in supply and demand and the effects of climatic conditions also affect imports and exports, making it a challenge to ensure a stable market supply. In the future, it is expected that the evolution of agricultural technology and the effects of climate change will affect the world’s corn imports and exports.

Corn export volume (latest year, countries around the world)
The scale and importance of corn exports in global agriculture becomes clear when considering the 2021 data. The United States’ export volume of 70.6 Mt shows its overwhelming presence in the global corn market. This is achieved by the United States being the world’s largest corn producer and its advanced agricultural technology and production system. On the other hand, the overall average export volume of 1.28 Mt also shows that the United States’ export volume stands out compared to other countries. This difference is likely due to the fact that other countries’ agricultural technology and production systems are still in the early stages of development, as well as the climatic conditions of each region. The total overall export volume of 206 Mt shows that the international market for corn is very large. Countries around the world export and import corn, and international trade is active to maintain a balance between supply and demand. Some countries depend on the export of their own agricultural products, and corn is one of the most important commodities. Therefore, corn exports and imports in the global agricultural market play an important role for economic stability and food supply. Factors such as climate change and changes in trade policies are expected to continue to affect global corn exports and imports. In particular, the promotion of sustainable agriculture and ensuring food security will be important themes for corn exports and imports in the global agricultural market.

Corn export volume (continent)
The world’s corn exports from 1961 to the present showed a record figure of 82.3 Mt in South America, which remains the largest to date. This data shows that South American countries play an important role in the world corn market. Taking advantage of abundant land and climatic conditions, South America produces corn on a large scale, and its export volume is among the highest in the world. Behind this trend is the improvement of agricultural technology and production efficiency in South American countries. In particular, countries such as Brazil and Argentina have established large-scale agricultural production systems and maintained their competitiveness in the world market. On the other hand, agricultural production in other regions has also grown, but the situation in which South America boasts an overwhelming export volume has not changed. The world corn market is also responding to increasing demand. Corn is used for a wide range of purposes, such as food, feed, and industrial raw materials, and export volumes are also increasing due to the expansion of demand. Such an increase in demand is one of the important factors in the world corn import and export. In the future, the world corn market, centered on South America, is likely to expand. However, factors such as climate change and changes in trade policies may also affect the market. Promoting sustainable agriculture and ensuring food security will be key issues.

Corn export volume (latest year, continental)
From the 2021 world corn export volume data, it is clear that North America is the largest exporter. North America’s export volume of 72.4Mt indicates its leading role in the global corn market. This figure is supported by the fact that the United States is the world’s largest corn producer, especially with its abundant productivity and advanced agricultural technology. Meanwhile, other North American countries also contribute to the export volume, and the region as a whole leads the global corn market. The average export volume of 34.2Mt also shows that North America’s export volume stands out compared to other regions. This shows that North America plays a central role in the global corn market. Meanwhile, other regions are also increasing their export volumes, diversifying the global corn market. The total export volume of 205Mt also shows that the global corn market is very large. Countries around the world import and export corn, and international trade is active to maintain a balance between demand and supply. This market expansion demonstrates the importance of agriculture in the global economy and contributes to a stable food supply. The global corn market is likely to continue to expand, particularly in North America. However, factors such as climate change and changes in trade policies may also affect the market. Therefore, promoting sustainable agriculture and ensuring food security are key issues.
